Motion Graphics Work

Below is a compilation of some of my best motion graphics work I've been commissioned for.

Photography

Using design elements and principles such as the rule-of-thirds, key light, and vantage points, I was able to create the following authentic portraits for a class at WVU. During my time in Media 225S, Media Tools and Applications, I was able to learn effective use of composition and color balance within photography from this  particular assignment.

Resident of The Ridge student housing complex exhibiting "dorm room living" in Morgantown, West Virginia on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025 at 12:00 PM. The resident watched TV in his living area demonstrating the casual nature of activity often experienced at The Ridge.

Barrett Feaster captured candidly on a separate evening in Morgantown, West Virginia on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 at 5:34 PM. Barrett is exhibiting some stress in this photograph after acquiring a job stacked with his current class work. He alleviates the stress by playing video games such as Clash Royale on his phone.

Barrett Feaster of Fort Ashby, West Virginia in view of a backyard in Morgantown, West Virginia on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025 at 12:01 PM. Barrett stepped outside for a quick respite from his TV viewing experience to get a breath of fresh afternoon air.

Resident of The Ridge, Brady Wilson is captured here using the boxing training gimmick known as the "Boxbollen" in Morgantown, West Virginia on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at 2:30 PM. Brady often uses the Boxbollen product to keep himself entertained while watching TV in his living room without a care for how odd the product appears when in use.

I captured the first scene by waiting for a moment where my roommate Barrett was completely unaware of my presence. It was at a time where he paused in a moment in time for me to be able to capture the photograph, as Barrett is usually moving around quite a bit. The second photograph was much easier to capture. Brady often uses the Boxbollen while watching TV, so I knew it was inevitable that he would use it eventually. I had in mind this exact photograph, but did not expect to capture a frame with such perfect movement showing the Boxbollen's dynamic and spring-like motion without too much motion blur. From this assignment, I learned primarily the innate human nature to look at someone who is photographing you and smile. Directly after capturing each of these photographs, the subjects looked and smiled, and I feel this response is one of the most natural human responses that exists and could be demonstrated across a wide array of cultures across the world. I also learned the importance of de-cluttering a frame to capture solid photography. Without this tactic, the foreground of my images were too cluttered and I had to retake many pictures.

Photo Story of WVU's Artificial Intelligence Panel: Shaping Futures, Impacting Lives

West Virginia University Art in the Libraries, in collaboration with the WVU Humanities Center, presented Artificial Intelligence Panel Discussion: Shaping Futures, Impacting Lives on Sept. 30, 2025.

Dr. Sharon Ryan, WVU Humanities Center Director and Professor of Philosophy, moderated the discussion, touching on themes of humanity in light of AI and who we are as scholars and researchers.

Video Sequence

Below showcases a Video Sequence I created titled "The Winter Arc." which depicts a highly motivated individual during a gym workout. The scene captures grit, determination, and raw emotions that are often experienced by many weight-lifters. There is an action/reaction sequence featured at the one minute mark, where a girl walking past in frame reacts to an intense moment of action wherein the subject of the montage is on cardio equipment.
